Where to Stay in Cebu: Spianada Condominium via AirBnB

I love AirBnB. There is not a day that I do not check AirBnB. I check for random places, and I check for new places to stay here in Cebu City. My husband and I live in a tiny apartment in the city. When my family comes to visit, we do not mind how cramped it gets but it does get uncomfortable at times. So the last time my family visited, we decided to look for a bigger place. My sister suggested we go to a hotel with a swimming pool but I thought it would be expensive, so we decided to check AirBnB especially after we were very satisfied with our booking in Melaka. In Cebu, we found several good places but we wanted some place where we will have access to a swimming pool because our nephews are water babies and a place very near the center of the city and the port. We were glad we were able to chance upon MC/Hatena’s one-bedroom unit at the Spianada.

Where to Stay in Cebu: Wellcome Hotel

I now understand why “staycations” are a thing. It is having the best of vacation plus just staying inside. I used to not get the concept but I love it now especially maybe because stress at work can sometimes take the better of me, and all I want is to do nothing — just lay in bed all day, watching Stylist Inc. (I enjoyed the show so much!). Last November, my husband and I booked a double room at Wellcome Hotel, a small hotel located near Ayala Center, for a “staycation.” I highly recommend the hotel for couples traveling in Cebu City because of its proximity to Ayala Center.

Where to Stay in Cebu: Paragon Suites

Last August, my sister’s friend invited her to stay at Paragon Suites as she has booked for an extra day she won’t be using. My sister dragged us with her, and because we loved our stay on the first day, we booked for another day. I have passed by the Paragon Suites building countless of times but has never considered staying there, mostly because it was far from where we were staying. But… our stay there was great and there were some things I thought I should share why you should consider staying at Paragon Suites in your next visit to Cebu (probably in the 2017 Sinulog?).
