The National Geographic images and texts did not bring justice to what I felt when I stood there, a mere dust in the constellation of things. As I was walking towards the Angkor Wat temple, despite the many people walking with me, I can hear the eerie silence, the sacred silence of centuries. One day was not enough, and I can walk around it every day, if only to find my inner peace.

DIY Walking Tour Around Melaka UNESCO World Heritage Site
Tuesday, February 21, 2017
On our second day in Melaka, we decided to make use of our remaining time before our taxi picks us up at 10:30 in the morning in the hostel. We had breakfast at the Ola Lavanderia Cafe. We decided to have big breakfast because we knew we would not be eating inside the bus during the 4-hour trip. It was also a good thing that we ate a lot because we did not expect to get stranded at the Tuas Immigration for a good four hours.
